Aircraft filming set up

learn to fly melbourne

Learn To Fly is a flight school based in Moorabbin Airport, Victoria. They offer flight training for novice through to advanced pilots. Being the only Victorian flight school to offer flight training in Diamond aircraft, their mission is simple: to make flight training more affordable and more accessible.

We were tasked to create a series of educational training videos for a couple of their courses. These videos were to be uploaded to Youtube for their students and public to view. Having absolutely zero knowledge in flight training, this was a huge challenge for our team, making this one of the most exhilarating project yet!

Off we went across the state to kickstart this project in 2020. We flew in a single-engine four seater aircraft across parts of Victoria, filming pilot demonstrations whilst appreciating beautiful views from our office up above. It was truly an amazing experience for the team, to say the least!

All the training videos included theory lessons, in-flight demonstrations, motion graphics and animations. It was important to convey clear and precise information to students and easy to understand concepts to anyone interested in aviation. This required hours and hours of studying aviation materials and continuous feedback from pilots we worked with at the school.

To date, after 3 trips to Melbourne and more than 20 flights in the Diamond DA40 aircraft, we have produced nearly 30 training videos in English and Cantonese and 2 advertisements for Learn To Fly. Check out some of the lessons on our website and visit Learn To Fly's Youtube channel for more aviation content.

We also provided social media copywriting to boost engagement from target audiences. Our client wanted more engagement and site visits from potential students across Australia and especially Hong Kong so we focused on Cantonese copywriting for their Facebook posts. Our team came up with interesting topics and informative content based on pilot courses, student experiences and training videos.
